Republican Candidate for
NH State Rep. Merrimack County District 4

Christian Danforth
for State Representative
"A Voice For What's Next"

About me
I am a resident of Loudon and I have great pride and passion for where I live. I am a recent graduate from Merrimack Valley High School, and I am hoping to bring new perspective to the State House.
I pride myself on how involved with my community I am. From my job, to church, to my free time, I am always striving to work for the betterment of the people around me. I serve as an EMT for the Loudon Fire Department, where I work Per Diem shifts. I attend church at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, where I am a member of the worship team playing piano. I have also volunteered as an Assistant Moderator for local elections, and as a member of the Communications Council for the Loudon Ledger.
Why does this matter? My community has provided me, and so many others, with so much. In turn, I want to protect it, and the incredible people that live in it. That protection comes elected officials that deeply value the perspective of the people they represent. I want to go to Concord not to execute my beliefs, but to represent yours.
What do I value?
Protecting Liberty
When writing laws, it is essential that elected officials are consistent with the purpose of government. The first priority of a free and prosperous government is protecting the rights and liberties of the people it governs. If elected, this will also be my first priority.
Protecting liberty means passing laws that further allow citizens to dictate the paths of their own lives. Some of the essential parts of liberty that hold tremendous value to me are:
-
Self Defense
-
As a firm believer in the 2nd amendment, I vow to support self defense laws, and protect New Hampshire's law abiding gun owners.
-
-
Low Taxes
-
People should be free to earn, spend, and invest money, without the burden of excessive taxes. As a State Representative, I will never support an income or sales tax, and I will support reasonable government spending plans to lower existing taxes.
-
-
Protecting Property
-
Ownership is an essential aspect of liberty. Laws should not unnecessarily infringe on peoples right to ownership. I will support laws that give people more freedom on their own land. I will also support laws that protect the right to repair.
-
Ensuring Security
People should be able to enjoy the freedoms that are rightfully theirs, without fearing for their safety. It is the responsibility of the legislature, and the rest of the government, to enact and enforce laws that maintain that security. If elected, I will support laws that keep our state safe.
-
Public Safety
-
As an First Responder myself, I have a deep understanding of the importance of public safety. I will always support laws that help Police, Fire, and EMS effectively protect our communities.
-
-
Keeping Criminals Away
-
In order to keep people safe, harsh penalties need to be imposed on violent and repeat offenders. I will support laws that keep criminals off of the streets and limit the opportunity for repeat offense.
-
Prioritizing People over Party
This is something simple that I believe is becoming all too uncommon. I am a Republican, and I support the platform of the Republican Party. However, if elected, I will first be a representative of the towns of Loudon and Canterbury.
-
The Needs Of District 4
-
As a Representative, my primary responsibility will be to advocate for the needs our district, and not the wants of national interests.
-
-
Bipartisanship
-
I believe working with those who we disagree with is foundational to the existence of our country. If elected, I will work across party lines to deliver the best outcome for our community, and New Hampshire as a whole.
-
I want to hear the issues affecting you in the State of New Hampshire. Please reach out if you want to help me make a difference for Loudon and Canterbury.
